The Non-Diet Commitment
Expert Guidance for Peace at Every Plate
Clinical Excellence, Weight-Neutral Care
At Plato Unida Nutrition™, we believe that a medical diagnosis should never be a reason to lose your autonomy or your relationship with food. Traditional Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) often focuses on the scale as the primary measure of success; we choose a different path.
What We Treat
We focus on Well-being Promoting Behaviors and Biomarkers—not body size. Whether we are managing blood sugar, navigating digestion symptoms, or managing heart function, our intention is to add nourishment and reduce stress. We treat the whole human, honoring your cultural heritage and your body’s unique wisdom, ensuring that your care is as compassionate as it is clinically sound.
HIV/AIDS Support: Providing compassionate, stigma‑free nutrition care that supports your immune system, honors your lived experience, and centers dignity, nourishment, and whole‑person well‑being.
Diabetes & Prediabetes: Supporting blood‑sugar stability through gentle nutrition, consistent patterns, and a completely shame‑free approach to carbs.
Digestive Harmony: Caring for IBS, Celiac, reflux, and other GI concerns through variety, nervous‑system‑soothing practices, and a personalized approach to what your body tolerates.
Hormonal & PCOS Support: Nourishing insulin sensitivity and reducing inflammation with additive, satisfying nutrition that supports hormonal balance without restriction.
Heart Health: Supporting cholesterol and blood pressure through joyful movement, nutrient‑dense additions, and sustainable habits that honor your culture and preferences.
Eating Disorder & Chronic Dieting Recovery: Rebuilding trust, safety, and connection with all foods through a trauma‑informed, weight‑neutral approach that centers your lived experience.
I apply a non-diet, trauma-informed lens to a variety of clinical needs. My focus is on stabilization, relief, and longevity.
The Equity Tiers
Accessible, culturally honoring care is at the heart of Plato Unida Nutrition. Our sliding scale reflects a community‑care model where those with financial flexibility help make services accessible for community members with fewer resources.
Who Is It For?
The Supporter Rate
I move through the world with financial ease. I have stable housing, savings, and the ability to spend on “extras.” Choosing this rate helps sustain the practice and expands access for others through lower-cost slots.
The Sustainer Rate
This is the true cost of the service. I can meet all by basic needs (rent, food, bills) and have some expendable income, though I may need to be mindful of my spending to save for the future.
The Equity Rate
I face financial or systemic barriers. I may struggle to meet basic needs, carry significant debt, or have little to no savings. Paying full market rates would limit my ability to access care and support my healing.
The Solidarity Rate
This tier is reserved for those facing extreme hardship or systemic oppression. If this is you, please reach out.
*A limited number of slots are held to ensure care is never out of reach.
Choosing Your Tier
Each tier is an invitation to choose the rate that reflects your current financial reality with honesty and self‑compassion. You never need to justify your choice — you are trusted to know what is sustainable for you, and every selection helps keep this care accessible for our whole community.
